Password changing is broken; can't reset password

I tried to change my password, but whenever I try logging in with my new password, it says "Login failed. Please try again." Can someone please confirm that they can actually change their password and log in with their new password??? I've tried it many times and am getting frustrated. The Forget your Password feature works great, but I don't want to be stuck using a temporary logins permanently!
Some people have reported problems trying to log in using an email address instead of a username. So I've added better feedback messages, and am assuming that'll clear up these troubles. Let me know if otherwise!

Hey Tyler, sorry if your message got lost somewhere. Hopefully as our service grows we'll be able to find and close more feedback loops to prevent that kind of thing.
So - I'm having some trouble recreating the problem. My steps: "losing" my password, getting a login link, changing my password to something completely new, logging out, and logging back in with my new password.
Any ideas?

I was able to help someone debug a similar complaint - his issue was attempting to log in with his email, instead of his username. Let me know if this was not your problem, and I'll be able to dig in a bit more (and I'll reopen the suggestion).

Hey Lance, that must have been the problem. I probably just assumed that username and email address were one and the same. In any case it works for me now! Thanks!
