Offer a (paid?) API

This would be very easy to offer if the system is already RESTful - and I suspect, given your affiliation with Rails & ActiveScaffold, that may be a given.
Would be a simple matter of supplying a "How-to" page to explain which resources are available and how each resource relates to the others

This would be great. Users have suggested that I have a list of started and planned features on my site, and an API would make it easy for me to display that data on my website.

Also, presumably this would allow us to write our own export utility to pull out all of the data so we could maintain our own copies - making the "Data Export" suggestion less necessary.
