We're building the Japanese version for a business partner currently so we're closer than most apps would be at this stage.

I'm building a German social platform and would like feedback from German users. I also am running an Esperanto social networking site on the side. I imagine you could even set it up Wikipedia style, so your users could provide translations for your service themselves!

Thank you to consider that some countries have multiple languages -> would be great to have all the feedback gathered in one account, and not having to create 2 different accounts. (ps: if it can speed up things, we could help with the French translation, and normally also with the Dutch)

Check out the translation system of Remember The Milk, it is awesome. Several languages were finished in a few days.

Does anyone know of any open source software that would allows us to let users fill in translations much like RememberTheMilk?

pootle (http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/index) or Launchpad (https://translations.launchpad.net/+about) is a possibility. There are a lot of gettex/po parser out there -> http://code.google.com/p/polib/

I would love to offer full Hebrew translation, which also require CSS changed as Hebrew is written from RTL. I manage and lead an experienced translation team, contact me if you're interested.

We're super excited about the idea of multilang.

The problem is that the tools out there to do this aren't design for continuous release cycles. If only there was an open source version of what RememberTheMilk has (http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/translate/) it would be a huge win. If anyone knows of software or wants to help build an open source version let me know.
