make widget load faster when integrated into site completed

when I integrated the widget code into my body tag it slowed my site down considerably. any way to speed it up?

We've made it markedly faster over the last few months so marking this as completed

The widget considerably slowed down my site. I even contacted my server admin to know what was up. Once I took off the widget, everything was fine again...

I was looking for a temporary solution, so I tried copying the tab.js onto my site and it worked great. Only big problem left is that the positioning of "feedback" is to the left, even though I set it to appear on the right... Any idea?

I got all excited reading about WEDJE, then saw the IE crashing bug. It's something to keep an eye on, for sure. In the meantime we should still try and improve response times for these widgets.

I found it to be the case with both widgets.

I know there are issues with JS processing in HTML (basically, JS can not multi thread), so any hold up in a JS script of any kind holds up the rendering of the whole page. See http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2007/06/widget-deployment-with-wedje for a full explanation and efforts to improve the situation.
