Add a status "closed > rattached to..." for similar ideas
This would allow to link two (or more) ideas together when they are similar but not duplicate, without deleting these ideas

And what goes with this is obviously the admin capability to attach one idea to another as a sub.

My question here is, what does having multiple similar ideas do to management's ability to make use of the data? Should the votes be added together? What if some people voted for both? If we don't combine the votes in some manner, then aren't we decreasing the influence that the idea should have?
