<text>Lots of user comments are good, but the original form is rarely the final form.

It would be great to see the original suggestion followed by a combined/edited suggestion which is based on comments made in the replies.

Perhaps this is managed by the original poster (email alert: "user 1 will vote for you if you add suggested change a" with a followup to users 2-4 that "user 0 changed their original suggestion to include change a, do you/would you still support this change?")
Perhaps it is managed by a moderator (users 1 and 2 add a flagged [obvious] suggested change and this is added in by a mod to the original suggestion, all users are then alerted to the change and can change their vote accordingly.</text>

<text>Right now the order in which suggestions are displayed is based solely on how many votes they have ACCUMULATED. While I can see why this would be the ideal view for ADMINS to see, I'm concerned that if that's the way USERS see it too, it will inevitably result in "POPULARITY AMPLIFICATION", where those suggestions that are ALREADY popular end up receiving the bulk of users' votes while those suggestions at the bottom of the list end up being overlooked. Here are some possible solutions...</text>

<text>Currently you aren't permitted to enter new suggestions once your vote budget is spent, and you are required to spend one vote on each suggestion. As long as votes are limited, I don't see what harm this could possibly be. On the contrary, it would allow people with lots of good suggestions to suggest ALL of them. They may start at 0 votes, but at least they're in the system for others to vote up if they want.</text>

<text>some project/companies would have free and paid users, and would give more weight to the votes of their paid users, this could be attained with previous suggestions of 'admins setting a user vote count', but my idea is:

let, for the projects that opt in only, the creation of a vote market, clients buy X extra votes for the project (limits set by the project admin) uservoice gets a %, the admin gets the fairer share as donation, the paying client gets the bought extra votes, everybody is happy.

such votes would not come back once used (or maybe for a premium price one could buy re-usable votes)

surely things would have to be controlled in a way to avoid worst case cenarios such as a single client ompletely monopolizing a project uservoice's page, but I am pretty sure that some kind of balance can be achieved.</text>
