  1. for a small organization it likely will not matter.
what matters is to determine the interest for different things, approximately. they're not going to implement SSO, and they're not going to register en masse. and so they're not going to experience uservoice if that (or similar) is required...
the proposed functionality would maximize the number of people who got to know uservoice.

  2. as i understand it anonymous votes dissapear from wherever they were voted after a time, yes. so a suggestion/ feature will loose anonymous votes a certain time after the voting. since it's the permanent part i miss, i made another, more precise suggestion: http://uservoice.uservoice.com/pages/general/suggestions/8382

  3. actually - i should have written "allow permanent anonymous votes". and using a cookie, combined with an intranet mode (ref other suggestions), seems like good features to combine with this...

  4. see also a related suggestion, maybe a duplicate: "Allow a members only site"

  5. and/or it could be possible to have one general username and password for the uservoice site in question, facilitating voting in an enterprise or a group without everyone having to register (as many won't do anyway), and elimitating or reducing the need for expiration of anonymous votes.

  6. i know - and gaming is bad, but in effect this is a barrier to a group of people that's not so tech savvy. what about letting an admin decide for herself if this expiration period for anonymous votes should be a week or two, a month or two, or even not expire?
